Together we can do so much.
As Chairman of Tandon Group, M.L. Tandon is one of India’s most distinguished business leaders in the electronics manufacturing industry. He experienced the classic voyage and return story: from traveling to America to study and work — landing a managerial post at IBM in San Jose — to returning to India and launching several successful computer hardware and electronics manufacturing facilities in Mumbai.
During the late 1970s and 1980s, he led disk drive manufacturing operations for Tandon Corporation (later incorporated as Tandon Magnetics Corporation) in India, producing what became the industry standard double-sided floppy drive disk read-and-write heads. Under Tandon and his younger brother Sirjang Lal Tandon’s direction, Tandon Corporation became the world’s largest independent producer of disk drives for personal computers and word processors.
Over the last 50 years, M.L. has contributed significantly to the rise of India’s economy, helped advance the rights and family status of Indian women, and improved the lives of individuals worldwide through technological innovation. He is actively involved in improving trade and promoting export from India, spearheading several associations.
Sandeep Tandon is head of Tandon Group, a technology catalyst that owns several successful businesses and provides resources to up-and-coming startups in India and North America.
In addition to his role at Tandon Group, Sandeep is co-founder of FreeCharge, which was sold to SnapDeal in India’s largest M&A internet deal. He also serves as chairman of Infinx Healthcare and director at Syrma Technology.
Sandeep has been actively involved in the technology industry for more than 20 years in a career spanning across California and Mumbai. His major contributions include the growth of technology exports from India and more recently serving as a mentor to many startup entrepreneurs, advisor to venture capital investors, and as an angel investor himself.
Jaideep Tandon serves as joint director for both Infinx Services and Tandon Group. He successfully led and positioned Infinx as a leader in technology outsourcing in both India and the United States. He also serves as a director at Tovya Automation and Syrma Technology.
An entrepreneur and angel investor, Jaideep has worked in the technology industry for over 15 years. He previously served as the VP of Strategic Accounts at Celetronix, efficiently managing their primary customer accounts: Apple and Dell.
Sudeep Tandon was part of the founding team at Freecharge. He helped Freecharge get its operations off the ground and returned to the company in an operational capacity in 2015. Sudeep oversaw the pivot of the company from a bill payments and merchant promotion platform to a full fledged payment business. Under his leadership, the company more than doubled its user base and transaction volume and onboarded more than 500k merchants.
Prior to Freecharge, Sudeep was a strategy consultant, advising clients in the TMT industry both in Boston and London. Sudeep has also held roles at Samsung’s Chairman’s Office in South Korea. He holds a MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management, a Masters in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelors in Science in Computer Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Southern California.
